We invite 5-9 grade students to a unique screening of the movie "The Fighter" (dir. Johan Timmers, 2018), followed by a discussion with Hexagone MMA world champion Ernesta Kareckaite. A unique opportunity to get to know not only the sport of kickboxing, but also the psychological preparation necessary for this sport - will, discipline, control of emotions.
Ernesta Kareckaitė is a coach with special will, strong character, responsibility, perseverance and is a very disciplined girl. In the mind of this trainer, the word impossible does not exist. Ernesta has been traveling the path of a fighter for ten years and has recorded in her account of achievements the title of 4-time Lithuanian kickboxing and 3-time Lithuanian kudo champion, Hexagone mma World Champion title, Grappling IGF and WAKO-1F World Champion titles, WAKO European Kickboxing 3rd place win, Kudo World winning the 5th place in the championship. Ernesta Kareckaitė is also a UFC fighter who impresses with her kindness and sincerity, but is stubborn and always strives for the best result.
About the movie:
Twelve-year-old Bo, who is going through her parents' divorce, is forced to move to another apartment together with her mother and older brother. Not only do you have to listen to the constant nagging of your parents, you also have to take care of an older brother who is extremely talented, but completely insecure. When the whole world begins to slip from under her feet and anger takes over her body, Bo suddenly discovers something that destroys bad emotions - the kickboxing gym becomes a second home, but the girl must learn to control her emotions and at the same time accept the fact that she cannot control everything.
