New educational section "Guest Films": short but meaningful film stories

Kaunas Film Center "Romuva" is expanding the field of educational activities and introducing a new repertoire section - "Films as Guests". These are selected films that will be on our screens only temporarily, but will touch on important topics relevant to children and youth. Each of them is like a guest, visiting for a short time, but taking away the sincere attention of the audience and inviting them to a deeper conversation.

The goal of this section is to offer an additional selection of films for education that will change and renew, but will always remain meaningful. We invite teachers, educators and group leaders to take the opportunity to see special films that can become a starting point for conversations about values, emotions, relationships, history or nature.

"We only show some films for a certain period of time, but their impact on students remains long-lasting. The "Guest Films" section was born from the desire to share exceptional cinematic stories that are worth seeing now, without waiting. It is a living, breathing corner of the repertoire, adapting to educational current events and seasonal needs.", – says Gailė Janulevičė, head of film education.
