Free remote screening and seminar of the film "The Sea of Lena".

November 14 13 p.m. "Skalvijas" film center invites you to participate in a free, remote screening and seminar of the new LEARNING FROM THE CINEMA program feature film "The Sea of Lena" (dir. Domien Huyghe, 2023).

The stylish, down-to-earth film that "unlocks" complex themes is rated by film critics as one of the best children's films of 2023. The sensitive story interweaves the themes of love, maturity, the fragility of life and coming to terms with loss. One of the most important lines connecting the heroes of the film is the expression of feelings and emotions. The film is especially relevant for students in grades 3-7.

After the screening, there will be a meeting with anthropologist, media educator Ginta Žulyta. G. Žulytė will talk about the possibilities of applying film education in the learning process, discuss the film's narrative and film language, as well as share experiences and insights about the discussions and reactions of schoolchildren after the film "Lena's Sea". We will be waiting for your questions during the remote seminar.
