The Romuva Cinema House invites children to summer day film camps, which will be a memorable journey behind the scenes of the world of cinema. During the four-day camps, participants will create their own stories, animate, film, sound and interpret them, and most importantly, discover the art of cinema as a means of self-expression and communication.
During the camp, participants:
- create animated films using the stop-motion technique,
- will create short films: from idea to editing,
- will learn the basics of lighting, camera and sound,
- will participate in sound creation workshops,
- will learn to cooperate in teams and create together,
- will watch films specially selected for the camp (the film program will be announced later),
- will discuss screenings with film educators, talk about the language, feelings, and meaning of cinema.
The camp's activities develop not only creativity, but also the ability to work in a team, listen, express thoughts and trust their own ideas. Here, children will discover not only cinema, but also themselves.
The camps are organized for two age groups – younger (8–11 years old) and older (12–14 years old) children. The camps will take place during the following times:
- 2025 June 30 – July 3 – Film Camp Gr. I (8–11 years old)
- July 2025th – 7th, 10 – Film Camp Grade II (12–14 years old)
- July 2025, 14 – 17 – Film Camp Grade III (8–11 years old)
- July 2025, 21 – 24 – Film Camp IV Gr. (12–14 years old)
Children will be invited to learn, create and collaborate in groups with their peers, and activities will be adapted to their experiences, creative needs and abilities.
During the camp, participants will only be offered light snacks - juice and cookies, so we invite you to bring your favorite snacks according to your needs. If necessary, there will be an opportunity to warm up the food you brought on site.
