Kaunas film center "Romuva" invites young film lovers to a summer adventure! In the months of June-July, as many as four camps for two age groups will be held, the participants of which will be able to get to know the world of cinema better through games, tutorials and movie screenings.
Animation workshops will await the participants at the camps, during which young filmmakers will create animated films using the stop-motion technique. You will get to know the old optical devices that create the illusion of cinema - praxinoscope, phenakistoscope and others, and you will create your own thaumatrope. Participants will also be able to see never-before-seen cinema spaces - the operating room from which films are shown to the big cinema screen and the interior of the tower, which is loved by the visitors of "Romuva".
This summer, the camps also have some happy news - participants will have the opportunity to try synchronized noises for the first time. foley) creative workshops, during which participants will get to know the world of sounds and how the sounds we hear in our everyday life can be reproduced with the most unexpected means. Another news of the camp is the camera and lights creative class!
There will be no shortage of films at the film camp, participants of both age groups will see three films each:
"Little Nikolia tells about happiness" (dir. Amandine Fredon, Benjamin Massoubre, 8), "Kas per Finas?!" Summer of Adventure" (dir. Stefan Westerwelle, 11), "Ernest and Celestine: Journey to Sharadia" (dir. Julien Chheng, Jean-Christophe Roger, 2022).
"Dancing Queen" (dir. Aurora Gossé, 12), "Where's Anne Frank Gone?" (dir. Ari Folman, 14), "What the Finn?!" will be shown at the camp for 2023-2021 year olds. Adventure Summer" (dir. Stefan Westerwelle, 2023).
