Animated heroes
Eight animated stories will take young viewers to a world full of adventure and color. The world's neatest superhero will set out to save the city from a powerful robot, a monkey and a lion will form an unusual friendship, and a woodcutter trapped in the forest will unleash his inner beast. A son who overslept will ruin his father's morning, and the smallest secret agent will set out on another mission to save the king. The cheerful stories will delight with their variety of animation techniques and themes and will surely make not only children but also adults laugh.
The program is created in collaboration with the Belgian Short Film Agency.

And flowers have memory
The program will allow viewers to immerse themselves in the memories of the characters, the personal experiences of the creators, and historical experiences. The films examine human collective and individual memory – the death of loved ones, the divorce of parents, difficult adolescence, and flowers that remember. These provocative and painful topics nevertheless leave a trace of hope. We hope that the program will encourage the viewer to look back at themselves and the environment around them. The past and the present always talk.
The program was prepared by "young programmers" - this is the ninth year of the "Art Hive" initiative, during which senior school students interested in cinema, accompanied by professional film curators, educators, and communication specialists, select films relevant to them, create film programs for cinemas and festivals, organize their presentations and publicize them. This initiative is part of the European film festival network "Young4Film" funded by the MEDIA sub-programme of the EU program "Creative Europe", inspired by the international project "Moving Cinema". Movies:
- We Were the Scenery (dir. Christopher Radcliff / documentary / USA, Canada / 2025 / 15 min.)
The story of a Vietnamese couple who, in 1975, escaped the war by boat to the Philippines, where they were later used in mass shootings during the filming of Francis Ford Coppola's "Apocalypse Now."
- Little Family / Casa Chica (dir. Lau Charles / feature / Mexico / 2025 / 25 min.)
The "little family" is a common practice in Mexican society where married men live a double life and create a parallel family with another woman and children. Here is the author's story.
- Skin Despair (dir. Mireia Vilapuig / documentary / Spain / 2025 / 20 min.)
This film is an invitation to return to the beginning of adolescence, to those moments that are usually left unsaid. A journey through emotions, a dialogue between two stories, and a reflection on the importance of collective memory.
- My Brother, My Brother (dir. Abdelrahman Dnewar, Saad Dnewar / animation / Egypt, France, Germany / 2025 / 15 min.)
The split-screen story simultaneously tells the memories of identical twins Omar and Wesam, from the moment they were reunited in their mother's womb to the death of one of them that separated them.

- The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing (dir. Theo Panagopoulos / documentary / United Kingdom / 2024 / 17 min.)
When a Palestinian filmmaker living in Scotland discovers little-seen archival Scottish footage of Palestinian wildflowers, he decides to resurrect the material. The sensitive film essay raises questions about the role of image-making as a means of witness and violence in human conflict over land.
