After a turbulent decade, Lin's life is finally getting back to normal. Participating in a healing twelve-step program, Lin is now on the ninth step of taking responsibility for wrongs done and apologizing to people he hurt in the past.
The main people on this list are his own family: after having a daughter at a very young age, Linas could not withstand the stress of the new reality and left the family. Now the man is forced to take care of his seventeen-year-old daughter Ieva, who is in trouble. After living together, estranged father and daughter slowly try to get closer again, but it is not so easy. The situation changes when Ieva's friend Maja, who is running away from problems in her family, starts visiting their house. Her vitality and playfulness distract Lina and help her survive Eve's hostility more easily.
Although Maja is completely devoted to her best friend, she soon feels a crush on Ieva's father that goes beyond friendship. As you know, you can't tell your heart, and Maja tries to stay alone with Lin more and more often. The latter, fully aware of the possible consequences of such behavior, tries to maintain boundaries, but soon he himself feels attracted to Maya. Confused feelings, complex questions and moral dilemmas - Eve, Maya and Lin will have to discover their truths and the way forward; they must learn to understand, empathize and forgive.
