The documentary-educational film "Secrets of Kaunas Ohel Jakov Synagogue" directed by Arvydas Kinderis reviews the historical and material heritage of the synagogue located on Ožeskienė Street in Kaunas. The main focus is on the gallery of paintings of Lithuanian rabbis, which was established on the second floor, in the former women's gallery, initiated by the head of the Kaunas Jewish religious community, Mauša Bairakas. The gallery consists of 104 paintings by artist Kęstutis Milkevičius. Asia Gutermanaitė, a guide, testifies about the most famous personalities of the rabbis and their roles in the life of the community.
This documentary-educational film is intended for everyone interested in the history of Lithuanian Jewish culture and religion.
