Murmuring Hearts

This is a look at a closed community where people are trying to rebuild their lives. The community leader, Žanas, who once stood on the edge of an abyss himself, now helps others. Animal care, cheese making, discipline and spiritual rituals are a form of therapy for this community. The established routine of the remote farmstead is replaced by fourteen-year-old Matas. Along with the teenager, his complicated past arrives. Matas's story becomes the axis of an observational documentary that reveals not only the individual experiences of the community members, but also collective traumas and the intersections of different generations. In the farmstead surrounded by nature, painful internal conflicts and fragile bonds emerge, which are formed between men who have accumulated different life experiences.
