A French couple adopts a brother and a sister from Lithuania, and the Lithuanian translator Gabrielė, who temporarily moved in with them, helps the children to adapt to the new environment. However, the family idyll is soon disrupted by cultural differences, incompatible parenting methods, and the struggle for children's attachment.
