Paulius and Indrė arrive in Karmėlava, where Paulius' brother, Indrė's boyfriend Matas, was killed exactly four years ago. At first glance, they seem to have no specific purpose. But soon the locals realize who these newcomers are. Paulius tries to find out the circumstances of the incident, Indre tries to stop him from reckless actions, but she herself begins to doubt the meaning of the trip. In the end, the blacks will have to answer to themselves why they came here and what this trip has changed.
"Laurynas Bareiša speaks the language of cinema, which inspires - every frame of the film is fascinating. At the center of the precise and extremely precise work is a sad story, told sincerely and sensitively. "Pilgrimai" fascinates with its maturity and creative aspirations." (Marija Fridinovaitė)
