Julia, Tobias, and their eleven-year-old daughter Marielle are an idyllic family. However, one day, after being slapped by a classmate at school, Marielle gains the unusual power to telepathically hear and see her parents' every move. How will the couple's relationship change when their child can hear and see through walls? Desperate parents take all measures to take away their daughter's superpower. Critics call What Marielle Knows the funniest German comedy since Toni Erdmann, as it accurately debunks the myths of modern families and the illusions of privacy.
