The film "You don't remind me of anything" is a contender for European Oscar nominations

While waiting for the premiere of Marija Kavtaradze's film "You don't remember anything" ("Slow") in Lithuania on September 22, his team received another international recognition. The European Film Academy selected the film for the list of works competing for European Film Awards nominations. M. Kavtaradze's film will participate in the selection of potential nominations in five categories: best European film, director, screenwriter, actress and actor.

The film was shortlisted for the European Film Awards "You Don't Remember Me" was entered alongside Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner Anatomy of Fall (dir. Justine Triet), Cannes Jury Prize winner Fallen Leaves (dir. Aki Kaurismäki) and other notable names and titles . 19 European films are competing for nominations in five categories.

Since 1988 the European Film Awards annually announce the best European films and creators. In the current round of awards, the board of the European Film Academy selected the films that its members identified as some of the best European cinema of recent years. In the next stage, 4 members of the Academy will watch the selected films and on November 600. will announce the final nominees, and on December 7 the winners will be awarded at the 9th European Film Awards in Berlin.

Since its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance (USA) festival, the film "You Don't Remember Me" has already toured international festivals in Istanbul (Turkey), Sydney (Australia), Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), Taipei (Taiwan), Atlantida (Mallorca, Spain). , "New Horizons" (Wrocław, Poland), Durban (Republic of South Africa) film festivals and this is just the beginning. "Before the premiere in Lithuania, we will have even more big international news for our viewers," reveals producer M. Razgutė.

In the intimate love story "You don't remind me of anything", Elena, a modern dance dancer, meets Dovydas, a sign language interpreter. A tender connection develops between them, David and Elena begin to get closer to each other and the platonic relationship gradually turns into a romantic one. When David reveals that he is asexual, the two are determined to find their intimacy together - to discover their own way of creating a relationship. 

The director of the film "Tu man niko nepremeni" Marija Kavtaradze is also the author of its script, cinematographer: Laurynas Bareiša, artist: Sigita Šimkūnaitė, producer: Marija Razgutė ("M-Films"). The production of the film is partially financed by the Lithuanian Film Center, it is being co-produced with Spain and Sweden.

This film is the second full-length work of Marija Kavtaradze. Her first work, Surviving the Summer (2018), had its international premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, and after receiving acclaim at home, the film traveled to many international festivals, won audience and jury awards, and was acquired by Italy, Latvia, Albania, Slovenia and television in other countries, as well as home theater platforms in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Probably, the most awaited Lithuanian film of this year will be available in Lithuanian cinemas already this fall, from September 22.
