My Film Icons Exhibition by popular painter Scott Hattox

Originally from San Diego [USA] Scott Hattox [b. 1974] has been surrounded throughout his life by comics, horror films, animation and science fiction, the themes that dominate his work.

Scott Hattox's art specialty is painting large-scale paintings of iconic characters, heroes and superheroes. Today this is a real rarity, as most artists working in the field of popular culture and art are moving away from classical painting techniques and doing a lot digitally. Scott, meanwhile, prefers gouache on paper and acrylic on canvas.

This exhibition is a selection of the author's favorite films: from Charlie Chaplin to Star Wars, Marvel and Anime superheroes. In the intangibility of time, such classic film icons as Alfred Hitchcock, Audrey Tautou, Bette Davis and the fantastic heroes of pop-up films - Spider-Man, Jedi, The Mandalorian, etc. meet.

"Using the forms and methods of classical painting, I create a unique look at pop culture for both collectors and visitors.", - Scott Hattox is convinced.

Some of these artefacts presented in the exhibition will be flown to the moon this year on NASA's Space X Falcon 9 spacecraft to the first art museum in the galaxy, Lunaprice. Scott Hattox's works were selected from among 222 other creators of the world, as the best reflection of this era and the creative ingenuity of mankind.

October 26 At 18:15, the film "La Grande Bellezza" by director Paolo Sorrentino will be screened at the Romuva Cinema Center in Kaunas. This session will be accompanied by a unique act - the popular painter from the USA Scott Hattox will paint the hero of this film Jepa Gambardella, played by the famous Italian actor and theater director Toni Servillo, in the lounge during the session. The artist, who will start live painting before the screening, intends to delight the audience with a finished portrait of the hero after the film. Intriguing work will be available for purchase.

Original paintings and original reproductions will be available for purchase during the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open in the foyer of Kaunas Cinema Center "Romuva" from this year. October 13 until November 13
