For the past year, the writer Sandra, her husband Samuel and their son Daniel lived in a remote town in the French Alps. One day Samuel is found dead in the snow outside their house and Sandra becomes the prime suspect. The trial that has begun slowly turns into a public examination of Sandra and Samuel's complicated relationship, and the course of the investigation depends on the testimony of their blind son.
