Portrait of a hawk

Vytautas V. Landsbergis' documentary "Portrait of a Hawk" tells the story of Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas, one of the most famous Lithuanian post-war partisan commanders, who fought against the Soviet occupiers in the forests and was even forced to hide with his family for 11 years. Betrayed and extremely brutally tortured by the Soviets. The film attempts to reconstruct the worldly life of this freedom fighter, aims to reveal the strength of his spirit and the subtle nuances of his personality, based on Hawk's own diaries and the memories of his relatives.
